Letter for relatives about Covid-19
Relative and Friends of our Residents,
As you will be aware, we had to make the difficult decision last week of closing the home to all visitors, with the exception of GP’s, District Nurses etc. This was to ensure the safety and protection of our residents, staff and the general public. As you are aware our residents are considered to be at high risk and fall within the vulnerable category.
These are unchartered territories for all of us, but we want to reassure you that we have been, and will continue to keep up to date with the government’s advice and guidance in regards to the COVID-19 virus. All staff are trained in the usage of PPE and extra measures have been put into place.
I would like to thank you for your support and understanding, at the present time we are unable to give a timeframe as to when the home will reopen, however once we receive this information, we make you aware.
We recognise that many of you will be affected by not seeing your family member/friend within the home and we have therefore put into place a number of ways in which you can contact us.
You can send letters or pictures to the home address and we will support the residents in responding.
I hope you all stay safe and well during this time, if you require any support from us do not hesitate in contacting us.
We look forward to seeing you all again once we receive authorisation to reopen.
